Chris Cross approached VirtueMax with the objective of creating a fresh new website to enable their multi channel sales strategy. The core requirements centred around the need for a robust eCommerce platform that supported separate online stores for different regional areas. This allows Chris Cross to customise their product line, merchant facilities and marketing campaigns for different geographic areas.
We developed the Chris Cross website on Magento using a multiple site configuration with a customised promotions engine. In an effort to build brand awareness from consumers and retailers alike, Chris Cross embarked on a "$1 Give-away Campaign" seeded through Living Social and Jump On It. Within a period of five days, the new website processed over 15 000 transactions. From a visual stand-point, we made a concsious effort to veer away from the "typical ecommerce look". We adopted a minimalist approach and took advantage of some beautiful photography to create a functional, fashion-focused website. Through the use of some clever UX and neat JQUERY we were able to showcase the full product range in an engaging format.
